Unsinkable Women: Stories & Songs from the Titanic The Marcella Sembrich Opera Museum and the Charles Wood Theater present "Unsinkable Women: Stories and Songs from the Titanic" created and performed by Deborah Jean Templin. "Unsinkable Women" is an extraordinary play about the women who survived the Titanic 100 years ago. Their stories-of that night and their lives afterwards are startling, unique and deeply moving.

The Gaslight Follies Live Stage Revue Uncle Floyd Vivino is back with a new vaudeville style variety show featuring an all-alumni cast of performers from Lake George's Gaslight Village in the 1960s-70s-80s. Hosted by Uncle Floyd himself, this is bound to be a reunion full of laughs and cheers.

Progressive Film Forum Our entire DVD collection is free to borrow with the purchase of a Film Forum membership ($25 a year - $15 Seniors/Students). Membership entitles you to borrow any film without charge. Upon its return, you may borrow another. 100% of your annual dues are used to purchase more films for our collection.
Lending Library We have amassed a collection of interesting books and are excited to share them with you. So, please feel free to borrow books from our collection. We just ask that you make an honest effort to return them so that others can enjoy them, as well.

Hyde Collection
The Hyde Collection is open Tuesdays through Fridays, 11 am to 4 pm and weekends from noon to 5 pm. Closed Mondays and national holidays. Suggested donation for non-member admission to the Museum complex is $8 for adults, free for children 13 years old and under.

From Process to Print: Graphic Works by Romare Bearden The exhibition presents over seventy-five lithographs, etchings, collograph plates, screen prints, drypoints, monoprints, and engravings; all created over a span of thirty years. They demonstrate how Romare Bearden experimented, innovated, and collaborated on his journey toward mastery of the print medium.

Tiffany Glass: Painting with Color and Light Organized by The Neustadt Collection of Tiffany Glass in New York City, the exhibition is comprised of iconic windows and lamps along with examples of opalescent flat glass and pressed-glass "jewels" that illustrate the rich colors available to the artists at the Tiffany Studios. The selections exemplify the masterful rendering of nature and subtle use of light and shading that was characteristic of Tiffany's leaded-glass objects.

Stephen Knapp: New Light Stephen Knapp creates innovative and engaging works that interact with, and are transformed by light. Using a special glass treated with metallic coatings that act as selective prisms, light is separated into different wavelengths of the color spectrum that refracts and reflects light onto surfaces and their surrounding spaces.

Stoddard Exhibit: Lake George Views
The Chapman recently purchased a small collection of Stoddard images of Lake George that previously had not been part of the museum’s collection. Particularly fascinating are photographs that depict what it was like to travel by steamboat on the lake. Funds for the purchase came from the museum’s restricted Acquisition Fund.
Lower Adirondack Arts Council Lower Adirondack Regional Arts Council is a non-profit arts organization founded in 1972 to promote the arts and culture of the lower Adirondack region. LARAC houses a gallery, gift shop, and administrative offices. It is open Tuesday through Saturday 10-3 pm year-round and is located at 7 Lapham Place on City Park in Downtown Glens Falls. State of Flux Exhibit at Lapham Gallery This exhibit explores the works of two artists: David Mazure and Elizabeth Snipes. The exhibit is sponsored by Glens Falls National Bank, and runs through August 10th. Lapham Gallery is located on City Park in Downtown Glens Falls. Gallery hours are Tuesday – Saturday 10 am – 3 pm. World Awareness Children’s Museum go! the interactive exhibition space of the World Awareness Children’s Museum is offering three exciting summer programs for children 8 to 12 years old from 10am to noon, each Tuesday and Thursday during the month of July and August at 89 Warren St. Downtown Glens Falls. Using cultural objects and art from the Museum’s collection, children will learn about celebrations and practices, international crafts created around the world and global foods. All three programs are hands-on and will involve the process of making some- thing, from shadow puppets to amulets, guacamole to Asian dipping sauce. The Shirt Factory The Shirt Factory is a community of Artisans, Craftspeople, Healers and Professionals located in the historic Shirt Factory Building on Lawrence and Cooper Streets in Glens Falls, NY.

LocalFest The Shirt Factory Arts and Healing Center announces the inaugural LocalFest: Stuff Made Here. The event is a showcase of both the history and continued tradition of manufacturing in Glens Falls and thes urrounding region. The current national trend of shopping locally is embodied by a number of manufacturers who create value right here in the City, just as the McMullen-Leavens Company did at the ShirtFactory building from 1902 to 1976, and as the building's more than 70 tenants continue to do today.

In addition to an open house showcasing the rich offerings of the ShirtFactory's shops, galleries, services and artist studios, LocalFestwill feature: A presentation on the history of manufacturing in Glens Falls by the Chapman Historical Museum; A full day of homegrown live music on the lawn; Glens Falls manufacturers exhibiting their wares and explaining their manufacturing process; Local writers offering readings and book signings of copies of their works for sale; Guest artists and artisans; Food vendors and restauranteurs from the local area; Local arts organizations offering children's activities; Non-profit organizations with educational information.

Exhibitor booths cost just $25 and the event's goal is to fill the courtyard at the Shirt Factory with exhibitors of Stuff Made Here with wares for sale, live demonstrations, information about their process, refreshments, hands-on activities, promotional giveaways and even job recruitment by area employers in the manufacturing fields.
